Treatment is done to ensure functional and aesthetic integrity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Types_of_Fractures\"><\/span>Types of Fractures<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Mandibular (Lower Jaw) Fractures:<\/strong> The most common type of fracture.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Maxillary (Upper Jaw) Fractures:<\/strong> Seen in more serious traumas.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Zygomatic Fractures:<\/strong> Cheekbone fractures.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Orbital Fractures:<\/strong> Fractures affecting the eye socket.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Alveolar Fractures:<\/strong> Occur in the bone area where the teeth are located.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Surgical_Management\"><\/span>Surgical Management<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Closed Reduction:<\/strong> Applied in mild fractures. Fracture fragments are manually aligned and fixed with wires, splints or elastic bands.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Open Reduction and Internal Fixation (ORIF):<\/strong> Performed in more serious fractures. The fracture area is surgically opened and fixed with plate-screw systems.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Bone Grafts:<\/strong> Bone grafts can be used to repair large defects.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Stabilization of Teeth:<\/strong> In case of tooth displacement due to trauma, stabilization is done with wires and splints.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Recovery_Process\"><\/span>Recovery Process<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Liquid diet is recommended for the first 1\u20132 weeks. Painkillers and antibiotics are used.
